o.k so the Chevy lUV is now moving around on it's own power, so what a better time to start another project.......... 8)

Will and I were up at Moon Rocks this last memorial day, and Will decided he would like to build a rig that we can just go out and wheel (dent upl if needed) something like what we saw up at Moon Rocks,, I said that alot of those rigs were probably bought off Craigslist a few weeks before that weekend, and they threw in some lockers (welded diff's  ) and some bigger tires,, and off they went,! 8)
Sooooooo.....

we found 2 1989 Toyota 4Runners
#1,Gray ($450.00) it has a 5.5" IFS lift, new 33" Toyo's in the rear, 22re(blown head gasket) 5speed, already in "dented" cond.

#2, Burgandy ($800.00) good running 22re/5-speed, hit in the left front, bent frame/twisted sector shaft on the p/s box

we already sold the blown head gasket 22re and 5-speed out of #1 for what we paid for the whole rig, 8)
next step is to ditch the IFS in the gray one and install the good 22re/5-speed
the plan is to stick some 4Runner rear springs up front with either a D44 (already have a 61' wide housing), or a Toyota straight axle (already have the cross over steering), 5.29 gears, welded or spool in back, some kind of cheaper$ front locker, 35" tires
this will be a slow build and is still in the thought process, but I'll keep Ya posted.. 8) 8) 8)

next is the 22re engine removal from the 89 donar 4Runner,
the front was banged up pretty good, so it made it pretty easy to just remove some of the good parts, and than just saw-zall the clip off,! 8)

really liking the ride height now that the engine is installed,, we move the front axle forward about 2" ,and with the stock rear spring up front, it sits nice with the 33's on 10" wheels,

engine fired right up,! 8)
going to be picking up a grill and hopefully a fan shroud from Daniel this week,
finish the exhaust and drivelines,, and off we go,,!! (to the next project in the back yard..!! )

Will you or Will be at R&B's KOH party?

I can bring the springs he wants.

If not, I can simply leave them there for you to pick up (provided they don't mind).
