it's been in waiting,, but now is in full build mode,!! 8)
started life as a (fully loaded, very rare)1991 4cyl/5-speed, he bought it with a blown head gasket, but is now a good running, smogged rig......
Will has (as of 9/07/12) cut off all that silly factory IFS stuff up front and all the factory suspension limiting coil/link stuff from the rear
plated (full frame length) both sides of the front frame
plated the rear factory crossmembers
Brand new 5" Alcan front springs (centerbolt way forward)
5 leaf 63" Chevy springs in back
Ruff-Stuff hangers,u-bolt flip kits..ect
IFS width truck rear housing with the 4Runner axles
front will be Toyota

more to come.... 8)

last pictures (in this post) show it at ride height when 37" tires are installed (aprox 2" taller than his current 85 4Runner on 35's)

Looking good.

I am really interested in this build and hope to gain some inspiration to build the gold one we picked up.

Nice!!! Looking good.

It appears his Rig is coming along nicely.

Think we'll see it on the winter run?

on it's own weight,
stock trans/t-case is out, next to remove the w-56 5-speed and dual t-cases from the 85 and install em

o.k. the ARB'ed , 5.29 axles are in and compressor hooked up
the W-56, 5-speed and dual top shift t-cases are in with the flat belly t-case crossmember
modified the leftside parking brake with a longer rightside
swapped out the mechanical speedometer to a wired 1 at the t-case
rear driveline in
steel braided brake lines in

**

took it on it's maiden voyage to the front yard and back.. :P

found out the front shackle mounts were too far forward, we will be moving them back a little.

Wayne-O, come on over, the front yard is ready for your Ranger, the upper driveway is by far the hardest line, there are a couple pot holes that are over 3"s deep, and usually give Karen in her Camry some trouble... but if that line might be a tad too much, there is always the lower driveway line,, it's not as harsh, but longer (could take up to 65 sec. to get from the County Rd. to our house,,./.....

Will decided not to cut back into his rear heater area, for the hole on the main t-case shifter on the dual t-cases,, so he ordered the Davez triple stick, (looks like a top quality product.)

are you using (86-95) ifs wheel hubs, 85 and earlier wheel hubs?
Are you running spacers?
What back spacing are your wheels?
If you are not running spacers or ifs hubs could you snap a pic of the driver and pass. Tie rod and drag at the arms.

Im trying to get an idea of the clearance between a 17" rim and the tierodd and drag and or tire for my build. I plan on using 85 wheel hubs with no spacers on 17x9. I guess im trying to figur out how little back spacing i can get away with. If you have this setup pics would help out alot, even if you dont have it could you throw up some anyway?

Thanks
