I pick it up Wednesday,, and yea I have heard the previous owner lifted a tire going down the freeway after running over a deer that was hit and had about 200 cars run it over before he did...
should be fun (the transformation will be well documented as always..)

Can't wait to see it up close.

Just as much work fixing it as it took to build it.

should be at my place Wednesday evening,
it was originally built up in Reno by some shop (or so they say.... :? )
story is : 2 older people wanted an "in your face" 4wd, and this is what they got,, it than went to a car lot in Lincoln, where poor Kyle bought it..
he showed it to the crew at Applegate Garage (I think the same day as he lifted a tire on the deer smeer.. ) I heard Zach almost chocked on his coffee when he pulled up,!!

negatives: so far.....
22" lift springs, ......Hello!
front frame NOT plated
big hole in the firewall when the steering shaft runs thru
front Wagoneer D-44 has no flat top right side knuckle
some really scary steering
chrome bathroom fixture front shock hoops (good call Zach.. 8) )
rear driveline u-joint cap dosnt fit the yolk on the model 20 rear axle
rear model 20 on it's last leg
3" body lift (the shifters are barley visible)
I'm sure i will find more in the daylight...

positives: so far..
Landcruiser forward control power steering box
correct side front D-44
brand new single piece rear driveline (will need to be shortened when i'm done)
fairly clean interior complete with rear jump seats
3.4 V-6
5-speed
starts and runs (Will and Kirsty will be driving it to my place from meadow Vista)
body pretty clean (for awhile)
pretty decent 35" MTR's on nice 15x10 alloys

all the IFS stuff is already removed (still needs some clean up)
8)
it's a Toyota.....

my thought process is:
take the 44" tires off my Chevy LUV and ...............
no really it will be lowered.....alot
looking at a set of (never ran) Moonbilt axles (originally built for Jim Richardson of Foothill Motorsports)
front GM D-44:
67.5" wide
5.38,ARB,alloys,CTM's all new everything except the housing front D-44 (wrong side diff, but I can transfer it all to the drivers side 1

rear D-60:
65"s wide
5.38, ARB alloy 30 spline full floaters, disc brakes

probably going to run min of 37's
dual t-cases (already have a 23 spline crawler box)
since I have never dove tailed a bed, I will probably bob/dovetail this 1 (I really like the one on the Toyota, Forrest had for a few minutes...)
super low stance ,something like a 4" lift and lots of fender cutting and front axle moved forward like Will's new 4Runner is.
I found a guy who fabbed up his own York compressor brackets for his 3.4 using a Ford Pinto belt tension idler, so hopefully I can get his plans, (or maybe try and borrow Zach's brackets for a quick paper tracing)
** as always plans subject to change at any time,,!!
