A good helper is hard to come by, I got lucky with this one, and she can weld in tight corners really well.

On the down side about this little helper, I have to provide meals and lodging for at least the next 16 years.....

I didn't expect to but I found lots of small cracks to repair in the front frame area, and I beefed up the P/S box while I was at it.

Couldn't resist a little fresh snow, and nothing else to wheel in, so the Mom-mobile saw a little action

I love that picture, my favorite line up winch hill 1, if you where there I flopped :D on my Passenger side and continued forward until the truck righted itself   back onto the tires. But I didn't make it all the way up that line :( and I had to back out and shoot the high right line to make it up. Tons of Fun!

GOOD NEWS! IT RUNS !
here are some recent pics and updates: I am almost done
with the electrical work, exhaust is more than half done and the
two oxygen sensors are plugged in. The check engine light even
stays out! :P :P Starting system and charging system are finalized. Fuel
system is done. I rewired much of the old electrical as it was full of splices and butt-connectors: the a.r.b. ,
the radio, the CB, etc. I still have to make some shifter work,
and finish electrical and exhaust work, but I can start it up and rev it!

Looking good Zack. We are going to Fordyce on the 13th and 14th for our annual father’s day run. Are you going to have it ready by then?

That would be cool. I'm really motivated now that I can
hear it run. Ordered some more exhaust tubing today,
should be able to finish the exhaust this weekend.
Ordered an adjustable temp fan switch to wire up the cooling fan.
Hope I can make it!

Maybe in my future?
Check out this pic of a Twin-Charged Tacoma
Turbo AND a SuperCharger!
I'll bet I would need bigger axles!

More exhaust done today, but hard to work much due to the crazy 100 degree days! I mostly just sat in my kid's inflatible kiddy-pool.

I hope to get some shift linkage in tomorrow.

By the way, so far I have been fabricating all my exhaust from Mandrel U-bends, 1.75" primary tubes, and 2.5" after the stock cat. converter. Magnaflow XL Turbo muffler. It sounds good, but louder than I wanted. I might go to 2.25" tube after muffler to see if it tames the exhaust note.

It's Alive!
My swap is running great! Wheeled well on the Father's day trip, no overheating (big sigh of relief  ) and only a few new bugs to work out.
I have all the pieces to make the Air Conditioning work soon. That meens my wife will ride along soon!
Just yesterday I put my new 37" MTRs on my old beadlock wheels, and hung them on the 4runner. I can see some fender trimming will be in order! It looks great!
See you guys on the trails soon!
